Susan Knutson
Susan has been working in the field of education since 1985. After graduating from Luther College, Susan taught as a substitute teacher in the elementary grades and also taught in early childhood with toddlers. Susan began her career with KinderCare in 1988 teaching in the Kindergarten program. Along with Susan's passion for teaching young children, her leadership skills came to play when she was promoted to center director in 1989. Susan has inspired many teachers throughout the KinderCare company as she leads them with core values and promotion of excellence in every aspect of this business. Her commitment to this business and this CityCentre KinderCare is evident: she has been here since the center opened in 1994. Susan has helped build the future of learning with over 2000 families!

Heather Schmidt
Heather has been working with children for 17 years. She has experience with preschool students all the way up to high school students. She found her passion for teaching while working at local elementary schools. Heather attended St. Paul Technical College and Inver Hills Community College to complete her degree in Early Childhood Education. In November of 1999, Heather began her career as a teacher in the Kindergarten program at City Centre KinderCare in Woodbury, Mn. In 2001, Heather promoted to Assistant Director. As the company grows, she has had opportunities in every area of this business. However, Heather is most loyal to the children and families in her care. She continues to further her passion for teaching.

Amanda Robinson
Amanda join our management team in September of 2015. She started with KinderCare in 2007 as a teacher while earning her degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. After college she transfered to Maplewood KinderCare where she was promoted to Assistant Director in 2011. Amanda enjoys having the opprotunity to work along side the teachers and staff to provide the best quality care for the children and families. She also loves working with potentional families in finding the perfect care for their children.

Lisa
Ms. Lisa is our infant teacher in our younger infant room. She has been at KinderCare for over 18 years. Before coming to KinderCare, she attended Waldorf College in Iowa, and received an Associates degree in Applied Science. Since then, she has completed her Child Development Associates Certificate and continues to renew her credentials every 5 years. She has been a part of each age group in those 18 years, but found her true passion in the infant program. Her nurturing personality is a perfect fit for this class as she gives each child her undivided attention throughout the day. Her "mommy" side definitely shows through while caring for each child in her class. She enjoys watching each child reach their developmental milestones and takes great pride knowing that she was a part of their learning.

Nakia
Nakia joined the KinderCare family in 1998. She earned her Child Development Associates Certificate in 2000. For more than 15 years at KinderCare, she led a class of 3 year old preschoolers. She taught with passion and inspired many teachers to "step outside the box." She has recently changed her position to an infant teacher, but continues to lead and teach from the heart. No matter what classroom Nakia works in, she builds a strong community as she instills great respect and trust with all children and families. She still loves to interact with preschoolers, but has discovered the innocence of babies and enjoys seeing all the developmental milestones they reach each day!
